FAQs

What is your photography style?

We define ourselves as a candid wedding photography studio. We want to maximize your time with family and friends, capturing those real moments that you share together. We do still photograph your traditional family photos but we like to keep it candid whenever possible. Those shots are usually our couples favorite photos. Our responsibility is to capture the feelings of your special day by photographing the big and small moments. We also like to capture many candid portraits of your guests. We want you to look at the photographs a decade from now and relive all those emotions.

Where are you based and do you travel?

We are a Hudson Valley New York based photography studio. We are located near Woodstock, NY and yes, we love to travel - within the U.S. Our photo bags are packed and ready, just tell us where and when to go.

When will we get our photos?

Teaser photos are sent to you within 10 business days of the wedding. You will receive an online private gallery with all your photos after we edit all the images. We deliver all the photos within four to ten weeks of the wedding date. You can download all the high-resolution images from the private online gallery.

What is your image rights policy?

All the photos come with a copyright release for personal use. You can make digital copies, print images, share with family members or friends, and share on social media. You have unlimited rights as long as the images are not being used for commercial use (such as advertisements). We also never watermark our images.

Do you provide photo editing/retouching?

All of our packages come with photo editing already included. This makes sure that all the photos are adjusted for exposure, color and contrast. Your images will already look top notch as photo editing is part of all our wedding packages.

What equipment do you use?

We are Sony digital full-frame shooters and we love every minute of it. We shoot on two memory cards simultaneously so that we have an instant back-up in order to protect your photos. We then also copy all the photos to another hard drive once we get back to our photo studio. Our main priority is to keep your photos safe. We also bring a few flashes with us on the wedding day, just in case we need some extra light to make you look your best.

When should I book?

Most of our couples book a year in advance. We always recommend you book far in advance so that we can guarantee and secure your date. Once the deposit is paid (30% of the total invoice) the date is officially yours. The remaining amount is due a month before the wedding.

Timeline & wedding day planning?

Timelines make your day flow smoothly, giving your guests, staff, and vendors a general idea of when and where everything will pan out. This guarantees that everyone is on the same page when the big day rolls around. We provide a timeline/wedding guide in regards to photography. Once you have booked, we will email you the wedding guide. Built on many years of experience, this guide is meant to inspire you when creating your very own timeline. You can always reach out to discuss timelines or any aspect of the wedding planning.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes, we do have liability insurance. We can send you a certificate if your venue requires it.

Do you offer prints or an album?

We have found that most our clients choose to shop for prints and albums on their own. Most wedding companies will work as a middleman by making a cut on each printing product you order. Here we decided just skip all of that and point you directly to those professional printing labs. Our clients can find the perfect album at the perfect price, without giving up any control in the production of their wedding album. But if you do decide you prefer to have us take care of the album creation for you, we can certainly do that. Here a list of our favorite partners:
